Author Guidelines

The ALTEK Journal is an online, academic journal that adheres to standards of peer review and engages established and emerging scholars from anywhere. We invite qualified research articles in all aspects of information technology.

  • Authors should prepare the manuscript using the ALTEK template and submit through the online submission system (link). Only manuscript following the ALTEK Journal format will be sent to reviewers.
  • Article must use english language.
  • The manuscript should be original and has not been previously published or under review by other journals.
  • All submitted paper will be reviewed by experts in the field by considering the originality, clarity of presentation and significance to science.
  • As the commitment to fast publication, editors try their best to complete a review process up to four weeks. If authors did not receive any notification after that period, please do send an email to editors.
  • ALTEK Journal is an open access journal, charges are only charged if want a print version at a cost of Rp. 250.000, - per copy (not including shipping cost).
  • ALTEK Journal is loyal to open access for academic work. All the original articles and review papers published in this journal are free to access immediately from the date of publication. We don’t charge any fees for any reader to download articles and reviews for their own scholarly use.
  • ALTEK Journal publishes fully open access journals, which means that all articles are available on the internet to all users immediately upon publication. Non-commercial use and distribution in any medium is permitted, provided the author and the journal are properly credited.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
