APLIKASI PROSES KEPERAWATAN ANAK THALASEMIA DENGAN MASALAH KEPERAWATAN DEFISIT NUTRISI DI RSUD

Thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder and is a group of hemoglobinopathy diseases. Thalassemia can cause complications in the form of growth and development disorders, bone damage, and heart disease. In addition, handling thalassemia with transfusion risks causing iron accumulation in the patient's body. This study aims to provide Nursing Care for Children with Thalassemia with Nutritional Deficit Nursing Problems at Dr. Hj Abdul Moeloek Regional General Hospital, Lampung Province. The design used is a case study design with a sample size of 2 respondents who meet the inclusion criteria. After nursing care for 3 days, the Nutritional Deficit Nursing Problem was partially resolved, indicated by the patient starting to eat and finishing ½ portion of food. Providing education using flipcharts and leaflets has been proven to increase family knowledge and increase nutritional intake in patients.
