Sari
Nurses' ability to effectively communicate is a key component of the high quality care they provide to patients. Handovers are one form of communication between nurses in a hospital setting. Improper care, the loss of critical patient information, and mistakes in nursing care planning are just some of the dire outcomes that can result from a lack of communication during handoffs. The goal of this research was to pinpoint the causes of patients' miscommunications while receiving care from nurses at Bandar Negara Husada Hospital. Cross-sectional quantitative studies like these. Total sampling was used to collect data from 62 nurses working at Bandar Negara Hospital. The Chi-square test was used to analyze the data. Communication breakdowns during the process of receiving nursing care were linked to nurses' perceptions (p = 0.012), attitudes (p = 0.040), and stress (p = 0.001), according to the study's findings. In order to improve nurses' knowledge, attitudes, and skills in carrying out handover, it is expected that the hospital will socialize the management of patient handover to nurses.
