STATUS NUTRISI LANSIA DI PANTI SOSIAL TRESNA WERDA KOTA BENGKULU

Abstract


The increase in the elderly population changes health problems and results from decreased productivity of organs as well as nutritional problems in the elderly. To fulfill nutrition in the elderly, it is necessary to know their nutritional status, nutritional needs, implement them and provide education. One of the factors that influence the elderly is malnutrition. The research objective was to obtain an overview of the nutritional status of the elderly at the Tresna Werda Social Institution, Bengkulu City. This research is descriptive, in this study the population of the research object is the elderly at the Tresna Werda Social Institution, Bengkulu City, amounting to 67 people. The sample in this study was 60 respondents using total sampling technique. Collecting data in this study using a questionnaire. The results of the study concluded that there were 18 people (30%) who experienced normal nutrition, 27 people (45%) had the risk of malnutrition, 15 people (25%) experienced malnutrition. Based on these data, from 60 respondents at the Tresna Werda Social Institution, Bengkulu City, it was shown that most of the respondents experienced the risk of malnutrition. Suggestions for the board of the orphanage are expected to have extra food, for further researchers it can be used as initial data, for educational institutions to add to the literature.
