Abstract

Province has increased from 0.2% to 0.44%. A person who is diagnosed with a terminal disease such as CKD will experience a decrease in physical activity due to the disease condition they are experiencing from the therapy they are undergoing and therefore this will have an impact on their quality of life. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between ADL and quality of life in CKD elderly people undergoing Haemodialisis This research is a quantitative study using a correlation analytical design with a cross sectional approach. The study used the Barthel Index questionnaire to measure ADL and the World Health Organization Quality Of Life (WHOQOL)-Bref questionnaire to measure quality of life. The number of samples in this study was 45 elderly patients undergoing Haemodialisis. The research was carried out on March 25-April 8 2024 in the HD Room at  Hospital. The research results showed that 9 (20.0%) respondents were dependent on ADL, 36 (80.0%) independent respondents. The quality of life of 21 (46.7%) patients' quality of life was not good, the quality of life was good for 24 (53.3%) respondents. The statistical test used is pearson chi-square. The results (p-value 0.005 ˂ 0.05) show that there is a relationship between ADL and quality of life in    CKD elderly people undergoing Haemodialisis. It is hoped that hospitals can continue to provide support or for patients to try and train themselves to maximize physical movement so they can carry out ADLs independently
